Friends of Pasley Park

The next meeting of the Friends of Pasley Park group will be held on Wednesday 2nd December at 7 pm in the Pasley TRA Hall on Stopford Rd, SE17

Go along and give your opinions on what you'd like to see from your local park!

  2. It certainly is!

    The park was a zoo for pretty much the whole of the first half of the 19th century

    There was an event last year, organised by the Council, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the zoo (which will hopefully be repeated again in the future). The TRA is also currently liaising with the Friends of Pasley Park, Southwark Council and the Cuming Museum to gain funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to provide for permanent signage, within the park, to acknowledge this fact

    If you've ever been in Lorrimore Gardens, you might have noticed the carved animal statues in the centre of the park - this, again, is in memory of the zoo that was once in the area
